Hanya Chlala has a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture and an RCHM in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Northern College of Acupuncture, validated by the University of Wales. She has also studied at the Zhejiang University of TCM, China.
Hanya has practiced acupuncture for 15 years at the LSE Medical Centre offering affordable treatments to students and staff. In addition, she has undertaken challenging work at the Refugee Support Services, treating victims of torture and at The Terence Higgins Trust. As well as teaching Acupuncture in point location classes at the University of Westminster, Hanya has completed a research study in Parkinson’s disease, which is currently under consideration for publication.
Informed by her wide-ranging clinical and research experiences, Hanya wants to establish a multi-bed, affordable clinic at the LSE, open to staff, students, and those in need of pain management. Offering a high standard of acupuncture for an assortment of conditions, Hanya’s specialist interests are in insomnia, depression, digestive problems, pain relief and neurological problems, in particular Parkinson’s disease.
Hanya is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).
